This was so, SO me!!!
Before I had kids, I was a gym rat.
I not only LOVED being in the gym in HS, but I was also working at a Fitness and Youth Sport Director at a YMCA and teaching group exercise classes and personal training.
To say that fitness was in my blood was an understatement...it was all I knew and saw myself.
So when I became a mom, I would become easily upset - annoyed would be the better word - when my workouts continued to get interrupted by a crying baby who wouldn't take his nap on the days I wanted to workout.
If I couldn't get my hour in, I didn't think it counted and felt so guilty if I didn't get 4-5 workouts in a week.
Between 6-9months postpartum, I realized that what I was trying to do was making me (and my baby) miserable. Plus, I was dealing with a lot of core and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Something needed to change.
So since I was having to start from ground zero in my fitness anyway in order to rebuild my fitness foundation and heal my debilitating low back pain, leaking, and pain with intercourse, I decided to let my motto be "less is more" in order to reframe how I looked at my workouts.
And as I rebuilt my foundation...my body got stronger. And to my amazement, with less workouts and time each week.
And Today,
I'm the STRONGEST I've ever been in my life & I share everything I'm doing in this membership because I want you to feel this way too

I take the complicated and teach it in a way that not only makes sense, but that you know what to look for in your own lifting and how to make an adjustment based on what you're seeing
At-Home Workouts Get a Bad Reputation
❌ "You can only do bodyweight exercises"
✅ Bodyweight exercises are really freaking demanding on the body when done right. In the Membership, you'll do both - body weight and exercises loaded with a dumbbell or resistance band with scaling options to make the exercise appropriate to you.
❌ "You have to do a lot of jumping"
✅ Nope, actually really incorrect. We do a little bit of explosive work because it's an important skill, but it maybe makes of 3% of what we do. This is a Membership with the focus on making you STRONGER and you don't get that in only jumping.
❌ "You have to do 100s of reps to feel anything"
✅ Not in my Membership you don't. We play with tempo, add pauses, and half reps to progressively overload the muscle. Any of my Mamas will tell you "They feel it". But again, we are building STRENGTH and that is found in reps ranges of 5-12.
❌"You have to do the same workout all the time"
✅Not only is that boring, but your body needs to be challenged in order to build strength. We always squat, hinge, push, pull, and crawl, each week, but in different ways because what connects for one person's body may not for the next, but it's still good for both bodies to do.
❌ "You can't get that strong"
✅Strong is relative to the individual as "strong" for 1 Mama may be to play with her kids without peeing and the next it's deadlifting a PR 40lbs heavier than her lifetime. However you define strong, this Membership can get you there.

I was told I had arthritis in my knees and really struggled to go up and down steps. The doctor told me I would just have to live with it, but I knew there had to be a way. Ashton had a perspective of focusing on strength AND mobility. She places and emphasis that your fitness has to work within your life and for your life. There is absolutely ZERO focus on losing weight or discussion of burning fat which I very much appreciate. Since beginning this membership, I've learned how to appropriately hold my body in alignment — something I’ve always struggled with because of hyper mobility — and now I’m stronger I can keep it in alignment without consciously thinking about it. I realize that strength training is for everyone — even though I never was an athlete.

They may steal my equipment, fight over equipment, and give me more breaks than I desire having to get them snacks, break up a disagreement, or change a poopy diaper...
But they are my why.
They are what keeps me showing up on the days where plopping on the floor or couch with the TV on so I wouldn't have mother would be easier (SO MUCH easier in fact) than hauling them down to the gym for a workout.
They are also what keep me going on the busy days where I chose to workout while they sleep which means either 5am or 8pm even when I'd rather stay snuggled up in bed or plop on the couch with my fav Netflix show. Because I know that workout is going to help me show up better for them when they do wake.

Who This Isn't For
Mamas who are 0-4 months postpartum
While there are scaling options, the scaling options won't be appropriate from a core and pelvic floor stand point in the healing process no matter your delivery.
Mamas who are pregnant and don't know how to modify for pregnancy
I provide some assistance, but I will not completely re-write programming to accommodate for pregnancy. I instead encourage 1-on-1 training during this season.
Mamas who are severely symptomatic
If you're navigating a lot of core and pelvic floor symptoms such as leaking, prolapse, 4cm+ diastasis, or low back pain. I encourage first seeing a PFPT and doing some 1-on-1 training with the goal to graduate into the Membership.
Mamas looking for gym-based programming
While you can very much do this programming in a gym setting, you won't find demos with cables, barbells, or other fancy gym equipment.
Mamas looking for weight loss
If you lose weight, great - I totally love that for you - but there will be no talk of weight loss in this Membership, only about getting strong and functional to live our best mom lives.
Mamas looking to lift 300lbs
If you're looking to really maximize your lifting, this Membership isn't for you. Yes, you will get stronger and put on muscle, but not with the goal to lift 300lbs.
Ashton’s program has been extremely insightful, she obviously has a ton of knowledge on both exercise foundation and workout structure, but also in incorporating the whole core and how to relate that to any stage of motherhood. She is approachable and will do her best to answer any questions along the way, I felt like I could message her about anything! Her program content is extremely valuable at all stages of life and motherhood, highly recommend!

What do you consider a month?The 1st "month" doesn't begin until you get your first week of programming because of all that needs to happen prior to me putting together your programming. The last thing I want to do is put together something that is too hard or too easy for you which is why I do the assessment and first virtual meeting prior to putting together your programming. And I don't think it's fair to charge you for the time it takes me to go through everything and design your programming After that, each "month" is 4 weeks of programming with automatic billing running on the start date of your 2nd month.

Why is the first month more expensive?Because you and I will spend a lot of time together educating you on all things breath, posture, core engagements, and movement form. We will spend almost 6 hours together in that first month teaching you concepts that are 100% based off what your body needs and what I see within your movements and breathing assessment. In these sessions, you'll gain the confidence to begin implementing into your workouts as I slowly introduce these concepts over your first month.

What if I don't have lots of equipment or a gym membership?No worries! I work with what you have whether that be at home with minimal equipment or in a gym with loads of equipment. All I ask is that you tell me exactly what you have to work with.

What happens if I experience a sudden life change?No matter what motherhood sends your way, I'm with you. Whether you become pregnant, experience pregnancy loss, decide to do IVF, need to have surgery, or break your arm.....I'm with you. Your programming will automatically adjust even if I already had it done. One-on-One Remote Training is all about meeting you where you're at even when that changes in a blink of an eye.

Is there a minimum number of months I have to sign up for?Nope! Because I don't ever want you to feel like you're locked in. If you feel like you've learned what you've needed or overcame what you signed up for, then just let me know and I'll end your payment processing. No hurt feelings on my end because I truly want every Mama to graduate with the confidence to apply what she has learned to her body and use the tools to adjust as she navigates motherhood.

Do I need to have a fancy camera to send my videos to you?Nope! Your phone, tablet, or computer works just fine. I just need to see you and your entire body moving within the frame.
